We sell the countPAD2/countPRO system so you can do the tabulation yourself on fast-forward speed. We also offer the countCLOUD processing service, where we do the tabulation for you within three days of video upload.

Does the countCAM2 automatically tabulate vehicles using Artificial Intelligence?
Can you recommend an accurate, automated system that will tabulate vehicles using Artificial Intelligence?
No. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Vision have been around for decades, but we know of no system that can accurately tabulate vehicles from portable camera systems. The issue is that mobile cameras are not mounted high enough, wobble in the wind, and do not provide enough visibility at night. Human beings are needed to provide accurate data. We have tested AI systems that work in perfect conditions, but the world is rarely perfect.
How long will it take to receive the equipment I ordered?
We guarantee your order will leave our warehouse within two business days of when you execute your order, and then it is in the shipping company’s hands, which is out of our control. Please complete your order with extra time built-in. We’ve had too many clients place overnight orders that then get delayed by snowstorms, hurricanes, or other issues.
Can I program the countCAM2 to record specific periods or when it will turn on?
No. Our previous models had those features, but we experienced too many technical support issues where our clients programmed the countCAM incorrectly and missed recording a critical period. We simplified the countCAM2 to start recording when powered to eliminate the problem.
What is the recommended setback for installing the countCAM2?
The ideal field of view is between 50 and 150 feet from the intersection.
Can I purchase a bank of countCLOUD hours and use them later?
How long does your equipment last?
Generally, 3 to 6 years, but it is highly dependent on use and care. Our field equipment utilizes lithium-ion batteries, like cell phones, that start to degrade in two to three years. countPAD2s should last for a decade under regular use before the buttons wear out. We’ve worked as data collectors for more than twenty years and understand the nature of fieldwork, so we built products that will survive technicians or interns tossing the gear in the back of a work truck.
Can I submit a purchase order and pay Net 30?
We accept purchase orders from government agencies, but not private companies.
Can I pay with multiple credit cards?
Yes – we’re happy to work with you.
Can I pay for my order in monthly installments?
Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to be a bank, so no.
Do you repair your equipment if we have issues?
No. We will replace your broken unit under the warranty policy, or if you purchased our countCARE protection plan, no questions asked.
Does the countCAM2 and countCLOUD processing work at night, especially for vehicle classification?
The video footage is clear enough for a human being to tabulate vehicles based on headlights during the middle of the night. Tabulating pedestrians, bicycles, or vehicle classification is dependent on ambient lighting conditions. It is possible to accurately tabulate full classification in well lit urban conditions or during a full moon, but generally not possible in suburban or rural settings with low ambient light.
What’s your guidance on when to use countCLOUD vs. the countPAD2+countPRO system?
Have your team fill up their available time with the countPAD2+countPRO system and send any counts they can’t get to in a reasonable time to be processed through countCLOUD. It makes sense to do the small, low volume intersections yourself at super fast-forward speed while sending the large, high volume intersections to countCLOUD to take advantage of the flat fee structure.

Our team can tabulate just about anything from your videos that you’d like, including train data, boat crossings, and different classification schemes, but we require a minimum of $25,000 in fees for the project to do bespoke work. Or you can use the countPAD2+countPRO system to do the counts yourself as that system is very flexible.
Do you rent equipment?
No. Most clients can justify buying our equipment for a single project.
Do you offer a discount to educational institutions?
No. We have worked hard to keep our products and services cost-effective and offer the same low price to everyone.

No, you’ll need to take the specific data from the output CSV file reports and input per each system’s requirements.
